Nine Seventy Furniture
Dear Mr. Lynch,
I am writing this letter to you in regard to our recent eight week going out of business sale with the Lynch Sales Company. As far as the sales plan from the initial contact through the setup we were overall pleased with everything. We were unfamiliar with the whole process of how things worked so a little more explanation up front from the people in various departments would have been helpful. Greg Klaffka was our sales conductor and once he arrived, he went through things with us to give a better understanding. The first week of the sale was outstanding and Greg did a great job with the sales staff. Even in the small rural area our store is located in, we had people lined up down the street waiting for the store to open for the sale! We experienced some slow time midway through the sale but by the time the sale was over, we were pleased with the numbers we ended up with and were pleasantly surprised that 62% of the sales written were special orders.
The outside staff that came in to help was very professional and did a great job as far as sales were concerned. They were all very friendly and helpful to our customers. Greg was professional and easy to work with. It was nice to have him here to guide us through the process, help us make informed decisions, and answer any questions we had. Greg helped us keep our advertising expense at 5%. The only disappointing aspect to the sale was that the product that we were able to order through Lynch, in our case specifically Craftmaster upholstery and Liberty Furniture did not sell well at all during the sale.
The Lynch Sales Company was recommended to us by another furniture company in the bi-state area that has used them in the past. We would highly recommend Lynch to help make a going out of business sale the best it can possibly be. We have to admit we were skeptical when we received the first projections of what we could potentially do during our sale. It was hard to conceive doing that much business in such a short time but we did and we would never have had such success trying to run the sale on our own. Lynch helped us to make it happen!
