In May 2009 we undertook a store-closing sale under the auspices of Lynch Sales Company represented by Don and Carol Ashford.
We were interested in clearing our patio furniture in order for us to move into a smaller store concentrating on our other product lines.
We were very surprised and please by the success of the sale, especially on the first day when dozens of people lined up in the rain for the store to open.
We could never have planned or carried out the sale on our own. Lynch has a proven system which Don and Carol put to the greatest effect. They took over completely, doing most of the work and assuring us not to worry as they had everything under control. They were proven right, as our sales were way above our expectations and our margins better than expected, especially in light of the poor economy at the time.
Don and Carol also took over advertising, working within a budget to get the maximum coverage for the money. That saved a lot of time for us, which we could put to better use in the store.
We also saved at least on person on the floor as Carol sold along with our own staff and Don supervised in order to ensure any “deals” made on the floor were sensible and within margin. Don and Carol have non-confrontational personalities that allowed them to work well with our own staff and they were not seen as competition.
I would recommend Don and Carol to anyone contemplating a major sale. Their costs will be more than covered by the extra volume and margins achieved.
